Iesha and Shannon's Story

Iesha and Shannon from Putteridge High School developed new skills and created EcoMingle as part of our Innovate for Climate Change course.

Rokhaya, Haajar and Seher's Story

In 2023, Rokhaya, Haajar and Seher created Sanitary, which aimed to address period poverty among women and girls in the UK.

Steve's Story

Steve Hall from LiFE Multi-Academy Trust first got involved with Apps for Good during our Innovate for Climate Change pilot in 2021/22.

Emma's Story

Emma Darcy is the Director of Technology for Learning at Denbigh High School and an Apps for Good Trustee. She has worked with Apps for Good for over a decade!

Madieson and Friends' Story

Madieson, Ania, Martyna, Summer from St Paul's RC Academy took part in our App for Social Action course and created an app to reduce food waste.

David's Story

David is an Apps for Good alum, and participated in the course way back in 2012. He now lives in Amsterdam and works in digital marketing for Nike.

Syeda and Shikha's Story

Syeda and Shikha from Levenshulme High School for Girls won Judge's Favourite in our 2024 Showcase with their app FoodPrint.

Bob's Story

Bob Schukai is a long-standing Apps for Good volunteer and is committed to supporting students. He won our Champion of the Year Award in 2025.

Mohima's Story

Mohima was part of the Apps for Good pilot all they way back in 2010. She's now an Apps for Good trustee, and a Product Lead at With Intelligence.

Vibha's Story

Vibha Ghei from BNY is a dedicated volunteer. She won our Volunteer of the Year Award in 2024 after reviewing every single Showcase entry!

Sathish's Story

Sathish Sivasubramanian has delivered Apps for Good for many years at The St Marylebone CE School, who won our School of the Year Award in 2024.

Manreet and Friends' Story

Manreet, Pahulpreet, Tia, Zarrah and Alexis from West Bromwich Collegiate Academy created an app to help low-income families with the cost of living.

Hasnain and Friends' Story

Hasnain, Humza, Sohidul and Mahdi entered our 2022 Showcase with their app Carbon GPS, which empowered users to track carbon emissions and make more sustainable choices.

Zoe's Story

Zoe Maisey is a delivering teacher from West Bromwich Collegiate Academy, which was named Apps for Good’s School of the Year 2025 for their inspiring student projects.
