Remote workshop with our partner Deutsche Bank

On the 7th and 8th of July we were delighted to be joined by our incredible corporate partners Deutsche Bank, to help deliver a remote workshop to students from Peter Symmonds college in Hampshire.

Students worked in groups to design their own app for social good. As students were able to choose which problem they tackled, they could choose issues that really mattered to them and as a result we had a variety of fantastic app ideas including products to:

• Effectively track your carbon footprint
• Help young people learn about investing
• Connect lonely football fans
• Help car owners get genuine and cost effective car parts

Midway through the workshop we were joined virtually by 6 amazing volunteers from Deutsche Bank, who were able to give the students feedback on their ideas and technical insight into how their app would work. At the end of the sessions, the student groups presented their final pitch, and talked to the volunteers about their target market, the phone features they would include and their initial screen designs. All of the groups did a fantastic job at bringing their ideas to life and conveying their passion for their products.
