We are pleased to share that The Spectris Foundation will be supporting Apps for Good with the roll out of our latest course, App for Social Action, across the UK. The Spectris Foundation's vision is to engineer bright futures through the removal of barriers to STEM education. They focus on enhancing and improving access to quality education in STEM to empower students from all backgrounds.

App for Social Action is a 7-session course that supports students in creating a community-focused social action app. As with all our courses, it is available for teachers to download free from our website and has been mapped to the KS3 curriculum as well as being accredited by Skills Builder to help students develop the essential skills necessary for their future.

App for Social Action empowers students to take action on an issue they care about, something which affects them in their own communities. Industry Engagement sessions are embedded within the course, offering students a unique opportunity for feedback on their ideas from industry professionals. Inspired students also love entering our annual Showcase for a chance to pitch their ideas and possibly be shortlisted as the best new app ideas!

775 teachers delivered our courses during the last academic year, and we hope to see even more students benefitting from our free tech courses this year. Our thanks to The Spectris Foundation for supporting Apps for Good to reach more students, and give them the skills they need to thrive.
