With much of the focus of COP26 around climate education, we wanted to give our partners the opportunity to find out more about our new Innovation for Climate Change course.

During the second week of COP, we held an interactive Lunch & Learn webinar which covered our approach to bringing climate education into the computing curriculum and took a deeper look into our course content. Attendees also had a chance to try out elements of the course themselves, including using a climate modelling simulator and learning about the most impactful climate solutions.

We heard from Apps for Good alumni Ellora James who, having completed the app development course back in 2015, has launched her wildlife tracking app, Envirocache. To provide a teacher’s perspective, Paul Gallagher from Dunoon Grammar school joined to speak about his experience taking part in the pilot.

You can catch a recording of our webinar here (this is not the original, so doesn’t include guest speakers or interactive sessions).
