Showcase submission deadline: Friday 24th April 2026
The deadline to enter Showcase 2026 is approaching, but don’t worry, there’s still time to submit your students' innovative app ideas! If you need any help with your entry, take a look at our information for students and for teachers. If you have still have questions then drop us a line at education@appsforgood.org and our Education Team will be happy to help.
It's always exciting seeing those first entries come through, and we’re already impressed by the creativity and quality of this year’s entries. It’s great to see such a range of solutions tackling real-world problems that young people truly care about.
There are lots of Industry Volunteers waiting eagerly in the wings for shortlisting to commence once entries close. Real-world professionals from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences will be helping to refine the entries and select finalists for each category. Every team who enters Showcase will receive personalised feedback on their app idea from our Industry Volunteers. Keep your eyes peeled for our category announcement blog coming very soon to find out who will be supporting Showcase this year!

Let’s take a look back through the archives at a couple of our favourite entries from 2025:
Eco Royale
Eco Royale was created by Sufyaan, Aryan and Salum all aged 13 years old from Challney High School for Boys, and won the People’s Choice Award in our 2025 Showcase. Eco Royale is a free app aimed at children aged 7 and over that uses gamification to have real-world environmental impact. Users travel across a virtual map using custom characters while completing real-life eco-friendly tasks (such as recycling or litter picking) to earn rewards that level up their character. The team said, “We're passionate, purpose-driven and ready to help the next generation become everyday environmental heroes.”

Team Eco Royale from Challney High School for Boys
Helping Hands for Kids
Abisha, Anna, Roshanthica and Vibista all aged 13 years old from St Philomena’s Catholic High School for Girls were awarded Judge's Favourite in our Resilient Solutions category last year with their app, Helping Hands for Kids. The app is designed for homeless young people, empowering learners with the support and educational resources they need to succeed. The team said, "We truly believe everyone deserves the chance to chase their dreams, no matter their current circumstances."

Cedars Uniform Marketplace
Cedars Uniform Marketplace was awarded Judge’s Favourite in our Ethical Innovators category in last year’s Showcase. The app was created by Caleb, Ellie, Freya, Issy, Lennie, Morgan and Samuel from Cedars Upper School. The app offers a sustainable solution to textile waste by making it simple for users to find and donate pre-loved school uniforms. The team said, “This isn't just about uniforms, it's a piece of the much bigger problem of textile waste that's harming our planet. Our app offers a real, practical solution to tackle that head-on. Our app promotes sustainability, community, and affordability, demonstrating how technology can drive positive climate action and create a better, more connected society.”
