What is your product and who is it for?
Our product is a super easy way to swap or grab school uniforms if you can't really afford new ones and, bonus, it stops tonnes of old uniforms from just ending up in a landfill.
What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?
What really got us thinking about our idea was noticing how many school uniforms end up in the bin and then in landfill. It's a seriously huge amount of waste, and we just knew there had to be a better way to deal with it. That's why it's so important to us — we want to cut down on that waste and make things more sustainable.
How does your product solve the problem?
Our app tackles the problem of all those discarded school uniforms piling up in landfill. By giving them a second life, we're directly cutting down on the amount of waste that ends up there. And that's a big deal, because less landfill waste means fewer greenhouse gases getting pumped into the atmosphere, which is a massive win for fighting global warming. Basically, it's making a really positive impact on the planet by being more sustainable.
How does it work?
We're building this super easy-to-use app. It's not a game but it’s a really straightforward tool. You open it up, and with just a few clicks, you can either donate school uniforms you don't need anymore or order ones you do need, all with the main goal of making sure they don't just get chucked into landfill. It's all about making uniform exchange simple and sustainable.
