I have had a keen interest in technology ever since I was given a Sinclair ZX81 computer at the age of ten. I now have over twenty years of experience in the technology field and am currently an Enterprise Business Systems Project Manager at Thomson Reuters. I love working for companies that have a culture of diversity and inclusion and I am one of the global leadership team and co-lead for the EMEA region for Thomson Reuters Pride at Work LGBT business resource group.

My other roles include being an Enterprise Business Systems tech diversity champion and change agent, a Wellbeing team member and a mentor for Apps for Good. I really believe that working in technology is a great career and I want to encourage the future generations of school children, particularly females who are still under-represented in this field, that it is a creative, exciting and rewarding profession. I co-mentored the 2014 winning ‘I’m Okay’ LGBTQ mobile application by Stratford Upon Avon Girls Grammar school as part of Apps for Good and continue to be one of their experts.

I also recently completed a BA (Hons) in Humanities with Creative Writing via the Open University
