A wise person (possibly Mark Twain) once said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

I’ve just thrown off the bowlines. After years of working for established companies with a stable [and reasonably secure] monthly income, I’ve just started out on my own.

My background is in product management, marketing and strategy. I have overseen the development and launch of numerous revenue-generating software products, websites, e-commerce sites and apps.

But I’ve always wanted to do something meaningful with my life. So I’m applying my problem-solving skills to an issue that is very close to my heart - mental health. Specifically, using technology to tackle depression and reduce loneliness.

It’s very early days, and I don’t know what the future holds. But as another wise person (Henry Ford) said, “One of the greatest discoveries a person makes, one of their great surprises, is to find they can do what they were afraid they couldn't do.”
