An experienced communications professional, having founded and managed design consultancies for over 15 years both in London and Bristol. Subsequently building a successful career helping global brands, conceive and produce engaging marketing and digital communications – working for clients such as Unilever, Heineken, SAP, Philips Live Earth, Specialized UK, Canon and SITA.
Al holds a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design from Liverpool John Moores University, MA in Visual Communications from the Royal College of Art and he has recently completed the MBA 'One Planet' programme at the University of Exeter Business School.
Intrigued by the potential and significant convergence of digital culture, innovation and sustainability. He is focussing on the potential of social business to ‘design and build’ organisations fit for the 21st Century. Recently he has been researching our human relationship with technology, through the Sony ‘Open innovation’ platform – in partnership with Forum for the Future. Investigating how we can align our technological future with human wellbeing to enable a sustainable future.
Currently working as a consultant, he is interested in working with corporations to enable innovation to create systemic change.
