LinkedIn asks my goals...
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children...to leave the world a better place...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
More concretely: I have been told I have a certain knack for foreseeing future trends, and a certain talent in following through difficult enterprises and for getting things done. I thoroughly enjoy problem-solving, in spite of all the pains it causes. Feeling cutting edge and innovative is quite important to me, and the most satisfaction is when I get to create something that is not just stylish and pleasing to the eye (which I confess, is something I care about) but especially ingenious and unprecedented.
I see gamification and playful design as part of the "package" I offer as a UX designer, together with wireframing and prototyping, sketching mockups, defining goals, describing personas, utility+usability testing, organizing focus groups, analyzing needs and potentials, identifying actions and developing triggers to behavior change.
Because the world is such a bad place already, I give preference whenever possible to projects that are socially useful or for the common good.
