Tell us more!

What is your product and who is it for?

Our product is the Be Wear bracelet which monitors a person’s vitals and it is aimed at people who struggle with seizures and attacks.

What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?

What inspired us is that Keria’s mother struggles with epilepsy and this device she designed is dedicated to support those who suffer from it.

How does your product solve the problem?

It gives people confidence to go out and not worry about having a seizure, as well as it being discreet and fashionable.

How does it work?

It is worn on your wrist, hence the name Be Wear bracelet. There are sensors in the bracelet that detect the user's heart rate, time in the same position, and an altometer to detect if the user has fallen.

What is the biggest challenge you faced when creating your app?

Teamwork. All of us had so many different ideas and all wanted to contribute them all because we felt so strongly about this idea. That caused us to clash, however we pushed through and have now made progress with one goal in mind. Making a difference.

Why vote for Be Wear?

Why should your product be the Judge's Favourite and why should people vote for you in the People’s Choice Award?

Our bracelet has a positive impact, not just on people that suffer from epilepsy but the people around them by giving them the piece of mind that their friends and family will be safe.
