Why do you think it’s important to volunteer with Apps for Good?

I am provided with a great opportunity, with my volunteer work, with Apps For Good because I am able to share my expertise, knowledge and experiences with the younger generation which they in turn can use to equip themselves with the relevant skills needed for education, life and work.

What does volunteering provide you and the students with?

I enjoy volunteering immensely. It is an opportunity to give back to the community and share some of my expertise in my field. The students are eager to learn and will adapt my suggestions in order to improve on their work. Their enthusiasm for knowledge is inspiring. Along with giving me pleasure in seeing their committment and dedication to developing Apps For Good.

Do you have any favourite ideas / highlights from volunteering that stand out for you?

One of last year’s highlights was working Dunoon School winners of the JA Europe Entrepreneurial Awards 2019 in Helsinki and several Apps for good awards. It was a great opportunity for me to discuss ways they could further develop their app and to learn directly from a group extraordinary teachers and students about their learning experiences and journey.
