Tree-Rex

Our app is aimed at primary school children and their parents. It encourages them to not just learn about the importance of trees to the planet, but how they can get involved and plant them in their local area.

This idea is important to us because we know children can spend too much time on screens and not enough time getting outside in the fresh air. We have some really important tree planting schemes in Luton such as the Peace Garden Initiative and our app seemed a great way to combine digital skills with also protecting the environment.

Tree-Rex is helping our environment by promoting tree-planting for families. To save our planet we need to teach people at a young age why we need to protect our environment. We need to take time to plant trees and encourage others to do the same.

Our app uses our friendly dinosaur Tree-Rex to get young people involved. It builds knowledge and then tests that knowledge through games. It also helps you apply that knowledge by then taking part in tree planting schemes or planting a tree in your own environment.

People should vote for our team because if we don’t protect trees and our planet then we will go extinct like the dinosaurs.
