Litterific

Our product is an app called Litterific. It aims to encourage people of any age to put things in the bin, clean our planet and show them why it's important for not only us, but animals as well, to have a clean world.

It means a lot to our team because seeing our world the way it is today is dreadful. Broken bottles on the floor, plastic bags in trees, plastic in the ocean! It honestly just makes us all sad seeing that just one person not putting a piece of litter in the bin could endanger someone or something else.

Currently, 60% of our planet is littered with about 2 million pieces discarded daily in the UK. Imagine how quickly we could clean up if everyone used bins! Some find it tedious, but our app not only highlights the importance of proper waste disposal but also makes the process fun and engaging.

Our app aims to build knowledge. Every time you put a piece of litter in the bin you take a picture of it to earn points and make your way up the leaderboard. We believe that this app will be able to teach younger children that putting your litter in the bin is not a chore. We also want to teach everyone why it's so important to put litter in the bin and the downside of not.

We know that there are many great teams that would deserve your vote, but if you voted for us we believe that our app could change our Cowal community.
