What is your product and who is it for?

Our product is Dorewa, and it aims to help anyone over the age of 18 save money and live sustainably in this increasingly costly world.

What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?

As 14-15 year old boys, we notice that our parents can't buy sustainably, because “it’s too expensive”. When we were presented with the opportunity to create an app for the climate, we noticed that it was becoming cheaper to live sustainably so we decided to raise awareness about this with our app.

How does your product solve the problem?

Our solution is that we provide a home for sustainable living, a central point where people looking to save the environment come to see if they can implement changes into their lifestyle to save the environment whilst not breaking the bank, and it makes their lives easier and more sustainable.

How does it work?

You can search for renewable products that will help you reduce your carbon footprint on the search page. It contains advertisements on the home page that are climate friendly and put the climate first, and profit second among many others like a savings page and a trending page.

What is the biggest challenge you faced when creating your app?

The design and the aesthetics of the app were quite hard to find considering we were only working on a prototype, on a simplistic software, so we were somewhat limited with the designs we could use. However, it meant that our app was very simple to use and user-friendly.

Why vote for Dorewa?

Why should your product be the Judge's Favourite and why should people vote for you in the People’s Choice Award?

Our team has come up with an incredible app idea that could revolutionise the world if it was made into a functioning app. In today's world, cost is a major worry, as prices rise, but people are also looking to live more sustainably to save Earth so we are looking to reduce the burden of the cost of living crisis we are in whilst saving the environment.
