Nigel has been involved in IT for over 20 years. Starting as a user, he has undertaken various training roles, technical support, IT management and consultancy.
In 1993 Nigel moved into a role providing messaging technical consultancy to a global telecommunications provider. Since 1995 he has worked closely with Microsoft based technologies specialising in the analysis, design, development and support of complex solutions based on Windows and associated applications in the messaging space. Nigel’s main focus has been on Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 infrastructure and Microsoft Exchange design. He has worked with Microsoft Operating Systems since Windows NT 3.5 and has worked with Microsoft Exchange since the first beta. He has worked with all versions of Windows Mobile since Windows CE was first released on the HP 320LX and is recognised as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist - Charter Member: Windows Mobile 5.0: Configuration.
In 2008 Nigel joined Dell to concentrate on the creation and delivery of EUC solutions for the UK Public Sector. In his current role, Nigel provides consultancy around Any Time, Any Place, Anywhere End User Computing incorporating a traditional approach to the deployment and management of desktop and laptop computing, typically based on the Windows OS as well as a Next Generation, device independent model.
Nigel is the UK technical lead for Mobile Clinical Computing (MCC), Dell’s desktop virtualization solution designed specifically for healthcare.
Nigel has delivered presentations at exhibitions and user groups and presented alongside representatives from Microsoft, Citrix and VMware on a number of occasions.
